Scroll Developer Badges (Archived)
Note: This campaign ended on October 1, 2024. This page is preserved for reference.
The Scroll Developer Badges initiative recognizes zero-knowledge (zk) developers for contributions to specific GitHub repositories. Developers who meet commit thresholds receive badges and onchain attestations that may influence hiring decisions.
Badge tiers and categories
Three badge types are awarded based on commit volume — 1, 5, or 10 commits — to whitelisted repositories:
- zk Rollup Talent — Recognizes work on rollup-related projects.
- zk Infra Talent — Acknowledges infrastructure contributions.
- zk Privacy Talent — Credits privacy-focused development work.
Critical deadline
Only contributions made before October 1st, 2024 qualify for this campaign. Commits after this date do not count, and the campaign explicitly discourages submitting low-quality work to these repositories.
How to participate
Developers can verify their eligibility through Human Passport:
- Visit the campaign portal at app.passport.xyz/#/campaign/scroll-developer
- Authenticate with your wallet and GitHub account.
- Allow Passport to verify your repository contributions.
- Mint earned badges onchain to Scroll.
Whitelisted repositories
The three badge categories cover repositories spanning projects like ZCash, Polygon, Matter Labs, and Privacy Scaling Explorations — covering cryptographic proofs, circuit design, and privacy protocols.
